Whole School In-service
Phonics is part of the Australian Curriculum. Now is the time to ensure that your teachers are skilled/ re-skilled with linguistically correct and sustainable knowledge, understandings and skills.
Unfortunately since phonics has officially re-entered the national agenda many poorly grounded, unsustainable and counterproductive ‘phonic’ programs have emerged/re-emerged. By doing a THRASS course you’ll put your teachers ‘ahead of the game’ in terms of content, skills and sustainable strategies, thereby greatly increasing their chances of helping learners to avoid reading and spelling problems.
|Terms 2, 3 or 4 of the school year provide an excellent opportunity for THRASS to provide you with whole-school inservice.
Courses can be arranged for Term 1 also, but ideally these need to be booked early in Term 4 of the previous year.
This increasingly popular model of training can have many advantages.
Important: The two-day course must be conducted over two consecutive days. We can do weekdays, weekends, or combinations such as Fri/Sat, Sun/Mon etc.
If our inservice model is unsuitable, we run venue courses in all capitals (throughout the year) and some regional areas (usually early in the year only). View courses.
This popular training model can be a very productive and cost effective way for staff to be trained.

If you are thinking of doing this in Term 1 we suggest you book early in Term 4 of the previous year.
