Call for Abstracts

The THRASS Conference 2019 is a celebration of grassroots educators in Australia and will showcase the journeys and successes of everyday Australian teachers, principals and support staff working in the field. These case studies and practical demonstrations will explore many of the political and ideological issues that currently surround literacy teaching in Australia and provide a platform for critical discussion with likeminded educators. The concurrent sessions will focus on multiple streams including: Professional Learning, Evidence Based Teaching, Early years Teaching, Learning Differences, EALD and THRASS in the upper years.

Session Length – All sessions to be 45 mins in length including question time.

Equipment – All session rooms will be equipped with a whiteboard, flip chart, microphone, laptop and projector screen.

Closing Date – Friday 12 April 2019

*Please note that as sessions are limited only a handful of presentations will be selected. Following the closing date of Friday 12 April applicants will receive an email advising whether their submission/s has been successful.

Abstract Submission

Multiple submissions will be accepted

  • Please note the following prior to submitting an abstract: Presenters who are accepted for a session will be required to register and pay for the 2019 THRASS Conference prior to their presentation being scheduled and will be responsible for paying all costs to attend the conference. Photographs and/or video footage of presenters may be take taken during the presentation and used in print or digital format. This content may be uploaded to the internet for the purposes of promoting the conference, future conferences and THRASS via Facebook and other third party platforms.
