100 DOUBLE-SIDED CARDS FOR TEACHING THE COMMON WORDS OF ENGLISH. 

Hotwords Cards 1 has the first 100 High-Frequency words such as: I, me, that, how, you said, the, they, my, etc.

On the front, FOR READING the words are written in black to develop instant whole-word recognition.

On the reverse, FOR SPELLING the words have been segmented into spelling patterns (graphemes). The graphemes are colour-coded to show consonant and vowel patterns. Consonant phonemes in the words are shown in blue and vowel phonemes are shown in red. This allows for the specific teaching of syllables and blends. 

FOR ORAL LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT, the cards provide practice in the articulation of 100 commonly used English words, the sounds used to produce them and how they are used in sentence construction. 

The cards can be used to practise common phrases used in reading, speaking and writing in English.
